The Lobkowicz Trio brings together pianist Lukáš Klánský, violinist Jan Mráček and cellist Ivan Vokáč. Since its foundation, the ensemble has established itself among the prominent Czech chamber groups of its generation. In 2014, it won both First Prize and the Audience Prize at the International Johannes Brahms Competition in Pörtschach, Austria, followed by the Czech Chamber Music Society Award in 2017. The trio performs regularly in the Czech Republic and abroad, with a repertoire spanning major works of the piano trio literature from the Classical and Romantic periods to the twentieth century. At the heart of the ensemble is a long-standing musical partnership between three musicians who also pursue distinguished individual careers as soloists and chamber musicians.
Lobkowicz Trio recorded works of Beethoven and Voříšek for Rubicon Classics from 2021 witk conductor Petr Popelka.
